The town of El Tontol is located in the northwest region of Honduras. This small community was discovered by the Finish the Wall team while on a hike. The community church, Reformada Manatial de Vida, shares its pastor, Pastor Hernandez, with three congregations. Twice a week, Pastor Hernandez walks an hour and a half, each way, to hold services; he and the church have given sacrificially to establish the church.

When Finish the Wall met the leaders of the church, they expressed urgency to finish the church, so they could bring the gospel to the children and youth – many of whom are joining the drug trade at an early age.

Currently, the building has a 1,200 square-foot foundation, four walls, and a roof. Finish the Wall is going to Honduras to finish the building by adding doors, windows, flooring, tile, paint, a small kitchen, two bathrooms, and a room for Pastor Hernandez to sleep in-between journeys.

In 2015, Finish the Wall will take 4 teams of people, over 4 weeks, to complete the facility. Read the schedule, below:

  • Team 3: February 7-14, 2015
  • Team 4: February 14-21, 2015
